Beth Hughes

ASID, IDS, IFDA, IDC Parsons School of Design

I began my professional life as a restaurant and cater chef, which let to my ownership of several popular catering companies in the DC Metro area. My work in the kitchen gained media attention as my reputation and client list grew, and was featured in the Washington Post food section and other local and national publications.

After selling my business in 2006, I taught cooking and explored real estate as a potential second career. Early in my real estate career, my work with developers and investors sparked an interest in design.

Following the successful renovation of multiple properties, I completed the Parsons School of Design’s Interior Design Certificate curriculum and joined the professional design community.

Today, I utilize my design skills & talent to create beautiful personal spaces of value for my clients.

DESIGN

Passion turned profession. My years as a top DC catering chef taught me how to design the ideal kitchen. A decade of experience as a Realtor honed my layout and practical remodeling and renovation skills. Earning my Interior Design Certificate from Parsons School of Design, as well as ASID, IDS and IFDA designations, turned my passion for design into a profession.
